Powassan virus

A 90-year-old Connecticut woman died last month of a tick-borne Powassan virus,

the Connecticut Department of Public Health said on Tuesday.

Title The woman fell ill in early May with symptoms including fever,

altered mental status, headaches, tremors, chest pain

nausea, the ward said. Two weeks before the onset of symptoms,

laboratory tests showed that he had antibodies to the Powassan virus.
